Peshawar—The 7th edition of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inter-District Football Tournament will commence from November 16 here at Sumbal Khan Football ground, Qayyum Sports Complex. This was stated by former international footballplayer and Organizing Secretary of the tournament Basit Kamal while talking to APP here on Thursday.
He said that all arrangements have been made well in time and various committees have also constituted for the smooth sailing of the prestigious event sponsoring by NBP.
He said two teams from Peshawar - Red and White and a team each from Swat, Mardan, Kohat, Hangu, Tank, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan, Dir and Chitral will be taking part. He said that the teams would arrive by November 15 while the opening ceremony of the tournament will be held on November 16 at 3.00 p.m.
Regional Head, National Bank of Pakistan Atlas Khan will grace the occasion as chief guest and formally inaugurate the tournament while a request has already been sent to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakthunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti to grace the occasion as chief guest at the final and prize distribution ceremony.
He said services of FIFA referees including Anwar Khan, Imtiaz Ali Shah, Allowddin have been hired for the tournamentto be played on knock-out basis
